Benefits of Green Tea Spray for Natural Hair
Green Tea Spray is great for natural hair for the following reasons: –
🌺 Green Tea is great for soothing an inflamed scalp, as well as treating any dandruff issues;
🌺 It helps minimise irritation from dandruff, dry scalp, eczema and itching scalp;
🌺 It helps improve hair health by promoting flow of blood to the scalp, thus stimulating hair follicles towards growth; and
🌺 It is high in anti-oxidants and helps protect hair cells from environmental damage.
Ingredients
• 300ml of water
• X1 green tea bag / X2 tablespoon of loose green tea leaves
• Optional: few drops of peppermint oil
For longer hair, double the measures, and for shorter hair, halve the portions.
Method
1. Brew the green tea by putting the tea bag (or leaves) in boiling water. Let it brew for 4 – 6 minutes.
2. Once the tea has seeped, put it aside to cool.
3. Once it has cooled, decant the tea into your spray bottle.
4. You can add a few drops of Rosemary oil (or your preferred essential oil) and shake to mix.
It is now ready for use.
Application
Always shake before use and massage into scalp for at least 5 minutes.
Only use as a scalp nourishing spray and do not spray along the length of your hair. Some naturals have reported its drying effects when used on hair. If you spray it on your hair, you can use it as a rinse, leave it on for 30 minutes and then follow with a hydrating treatment.
Use X3 a week. If new, start once a week and see how your hair reacts first.
