DIY Coffee Hair Butter is best for: –

🌺Preventing hair loss;

🌺Minimising excess shedding;

🌺strengthening your hair strands; and

🌺 It will help darken your hair.

Ingredients

• X100ml of coffee oil;

• X250ml of molten shea butter;

• X1 tablespoon of castor oil (you can use JBCO);

• Optional: X5 drops of lavender oil or your preferred essential oil.

Instructions

1. Pour the melted shea butter into a mixing bowl. Make sure that you have used the double boiling method to melt this butter.

2. Add the coffee, castor and lavender to the bowl and stir gently to mix.

3. Place the mixed oil in the freezer to lightly solidify. Do not place it for longer than 30 minutes, as it will be too hard to blend.

4. Whip the oil with your blender for 7 – 10 minutes until you get a soft, creamy consistency.

5. Transfer the butter to a clean mason jar.

It is now ready for use.

You can store the butter at room temperature in a cool, dry place.

You can also use it in the following ways: –

🌺Styling – Coffee hair butter can be used to give definition to twists / braid-outs for added moisture.

🌺 Sealant – Coffee hair butter can also be used to lock moisture into your hair during the LOC/LCO routine. Apply to your hair X3 times a week.

For maximum effect, it is always best to apply onto damp or slightly moist hair.
