Hibiscus & Yoghurt Hair Mask

Hibiscus and yogurt hair mask is a deep conditioning treatment that softens and strengthens hair, giving it an appearance of thickness. It also reduces shedding and makes detangling your natural hair a breeze.

Ingredients

  • X1 tablespoon of hibiscus powder
  • X4 tablespoons of Greek yogurt
  • Optional: X2 tablespoons of olive oil or preferred carrier oil.

*Note: adjust according to your hair length and thickness.

Method

1. Transfer the yogurt to a mixing bowl and then add the hibiscus powder.

2. Stir together, until completely mixed and you have a whipped cream-like consistency.

3. Optional: You can add X2 tablespoons of olive oil or your preferred carrier oil. You can also add hibiscus oil or rosemary oil to your mask for added benefit. 

Application

1. Apply the mask to freshly washed, damp hair, thoroughly coating the hair until the tips. Apply in sections, twisting the completed section before moving to the next, until your whole head is coated with the mask.

2. Cover with a shower cap and leave on your hair for 30 – 45 minutes, before rinsing out.

Recommendation

To treat damaged hair, use the mask bi-monthly, leaving the treatment on for 3 – 5 minutes. You can add heat via a heat cap or wrapping your shower cap in a warm towel, to get the most out of your treatment.
