Benefits of DIY Coconut Milk Leave-In Conditioner

🌺The protein in coconut milk strengthens hair strands, as well as helps promote hair growth and nourishes hair.

🌺Coconut milk has also been known to help thicken hair as well as prevent dandruff. Plus, consistent use (at least X2 a week) can help prevent greying.

Ingredients

  • X 1 cup of grated coconut (Canned coconut milk, if not making it from scratch)
  • X 1 cup of water
  • Optional : 15 – 20 drops of rosemary / lavender essential oil.

Steps

1. Make the coconut milk by grating X1 cups of coconut and then adding X2 cups of hot water to the coconut.

2. Let it sit for at least 20 minutes, allowing the nutrients to seep out and into the water.

3. Once the mixture has cooled, strain the coconut milk into a bowl, (before transferring to a spray bottle). This process helps separate the grated coconut husks from the liquid.

4. You can then add an essential oil of your choice to the mixture. Make sure you shake thoroughly to mix.

The leave-in conditioner is now ready for use.
